Junior Fellowship
Junior Fellow Application Announcement 2011/12
In 1991 Collegium Budapest/Institute for Advanced Study was founded in order
to foster academic life in Central and Eastern Europe. Every year the
Collegium invites scholars from all parts of the World either for an entire
academic
year or for only one semester. In addition, the Collegium also invites
several promising young scholars to work on their preferred research projects
in
this challenging academic environment.
One goal of the Collegium is to encourage research in newly emerging
disciplines and in new problem areas that we confront in the 21st Century.
The Collegium
wishes to promote strong interaction between scholars from various countries
who belong to different academic cultures, and to encourage them to exploit
the opportunity to meet scholars active in other branches of science, including
the social sciences and the humanities, as well as the hard sciences.
For this
purpose, the Collegium offers younger scholars and researchers residential
Junior Fellowships for Academic Year 2011/2012 (1 October

Applications by excellent candidates from other fields will also be
given consideration.
The stipend package consists of a stipend lump-sum of EUR 7,500 for
